Sadly, we have ceased taking orders. Post taking part in LEGO Masters Grand Masters, Ryan has begun an educational consulting and incursion business, Brickulum, and this occupies all of the time once spent building Thomas models and then some. I absolutely adored sharing my passion for Thomas and his Friends with you all and am forever grateful for your custom. I am leaving this page on the interwebs for historical purposes, as it is unlikely I will ever have the time to start producing these little guys again.
Welcome to the Island of Sodor – Brick edition! Thomas & Friends – built in Lego.
Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends comes to life in these intricately designed and built models made entirely out of LEGO® bricks. Each engine, wagon and carriage has been cleverly engineered to look very much like the original that has appeared in the popular books and television series and be able to run smoothly for hours on end at shows. Adding the final touch to these engines and rolling stock are the painstakingly created stickers. Much like many official LEGO models, we have decided to use stickers and some professional brick printing for the finer details such as the faces, pin-striping and numbering.
Thank you for your interest in our LEGO Thomas and his friends. Whether you’ve seen us at shows or become aware of us courtesy of seeing Ryan on season 3 and 5 of Lego Masters Australia, Youtube, Facebook and social media, we’re happy that you stopped by for a look. We've had an overwhelming response ever since appearing on YouTube channels Beyond the Brick and Train Tsar Fun, and a definite surge in interest thanks to one of us being on the most popular entertainment program on national television in Australia!
Many photos (particularly our historical layouts) are available on Ryan's Flickr pages, and some updates since our 2020 layout were posted on a dedicated Flickr group here. Most shots are taken at our biggest show, Brickvention, held in Melbourne every January.
At many of our shows, we are asked, “Is this a set?” and, “Where can I buy this?
Of course, the answer to the first is that these aren’t sets but instead custom creations (or MOCs as we call them in the fan community). After hearing the second question a few dozen times, we actually thought, “Why not?” Ever since, we have been building Thomas and his friends for people all over the world.
As mentioned above, however, we have not been able to take on any orders since 2023.
Again, thanks for stopping by and we look forward to talking to you down the track.
Regards, Ryan Evans, Josh Best, Andrew McPherson & Ken Jarrott the Sodor Team
